I saw this comment on the Tea Party from a New York Times reader the other day:

I have never been more afraid for this country than I am today. This country is struggling because of the Republican president that preceeded Obama. The one who lied us into a war and deregulated us into ruin. I can't help feeling that if Obama were a white man, the tea party wouldn't even exist.
